Campus Description: New York Institute of Technology is a private coeducational institution of higher learning. Founded in 1955, the college now enrolls more than 15,000 students at campuses in Long Island, Manhattan, online and at sites throughout the world. NYIT is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. NYIT offers over 96 undergraduate majors and 16 graduate degree programs. NYIT's undergraduate majors include: architecture, physical and occupational therapy, life sciences, physician assistant, premedical studies, nursing, computer graphics, engineering, computer science, education, culinary arts, advertising, interior design, telecommunications, accounting, and business degrees among many others. NYIT has been a pioneer in the area of distance education and has state-of-the-art distance learning and teleconferencing technology and laboratories at each of its three campuses.
