Applicants are able to submit the SAT and 2 SAT Subject Tests OR the ACT with Writing OR the SAT and 2 Advanced Placement Exam scores OR 3 SAT Subject Test scores (one in literature or the humanities, one in math/science, and one in any non-language area) OR 3 AP exam scores (one in literature/humanities, one in math/science, one non-language).
Some programs may require an interview, audition, and/or submission of portfolio or creative materials. Candidates for the Bachelor of Arts degree program in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies may be required to take the Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills.

New York University has seven undergraduate divisions - each with its own identity - offering students the benefits of a small college and the advantages of a large university. All students, whether they major in the humanities or the natural sciences, film production, or business, receive a firm foundation in the liberal arts.

Special Programs: NYU offers individual majors, study abroad sites in Berlin, Buenos Aires, Florence, Ghana, London, Madrid, Paris, and Shanghai. NYU will open a study abroad site in Tel Aviv, Israel in September 2009. NYU offers engineering programs and degrees through their affiliate Polytechnic University of NYU. NYU is developing a full-scale liberal arts campus in Abu Dhabi. NYU Abu Dhabi will be a full-scale liberal arts college, with select graduate programs driven by advanced research. The first class of students will be enrolled in the fall of 2010.
